Delete your account
Last updated: September 3, 2026
NeriOS is a maritime pilot operations application published by Fairlead Technologies, LLC, the developer named on the app’s store listings. This page explains how to request deletion of your NeriOS account, what is deleted when you do, and what is kept.
How NeriOS accounts work
NeriOS is a business application licensed to maritime pilot organizations. Accounts are not open to the general public: each one is provisioned and approved by an administrator at your organization, or by a NeriOSsuper administrator. Because your account exists inside an organization’s workspace, deletion is handled as a verified request rather than a self-service button in the app.
How to request deletion
Either route works:
- Email us at support@nerios.io from the address on your NeriOS account. Include your full name and your organization, so we can identify the correct account.
- Ask your organization’s administrator, who can action the request directly from the NeriOS admin tools.
Deletion is performed through an existing administrative function that requires an explicit typed confirmation and an authorization check before it will run. If you email us, we will confirm your identity and coordinate with your organization before removing the account, because an account is also that organization’s access record.
What is deleted
When your account is deleted, the following are removed:
- Your login — your authentication record and credentials. You will no longer be able to sign in.
- Your user profile — email address, display name, username, and role.
- Your device push tokens — the app stops delivering notifications to your devices. These are also removed automatically whenever you sign out.
- Feedback and bug reports you submitted — the message text and your name on it.
Face ID and Touch ID
NeriOScan use your device’s biometric unlock to sign you in. That check happens entirely on your device, through the operating system. Fairlead Technologies, LLC never receives your fingerprint or face data, so there is nothing for us to delete — turning biometric unlock off in your device settings removes it completely.
What is kept, and why
NeriOS is a multi-tenant business system. The operational records created in the course of work belong to the organization, not to the individual user, and they are retained as that organization’s business records. Deleting your personal account does not remove them. We want to be specific rather than imply a clean erasure, because the following genuinely persist:
- Your name and email address in the organization’s audit log, recorded at the moment of deletion. NeriOS deliberately records the deletion itself, including the email address and display name of the account removed, so the organization keeps a complete record of who was removed and when.
- Your name and role on actions you previously took.Every audited action stores the actor’s name and role as text. The link to your account is severed, but the name remains — that is what makes an audit trail an audit trail.
- Your personnel record on the pilot roster, where your organization maintains one. This can include your name, email address, and phone number. The link to your login is removed, but the record itself remains under your organization’s control as a personnel record. Your organization’s administrator can additionally scrub the identifying details from that record — replacing the name with a neutral “former pilot” marker and erasing the email, phone number, credential identifiers, and vehicle details — using an administrative function built for that purpose. Records that captured your name at the time they were written — such as finalized pilotage tickets, audit entries, and schedule swap requests — keep it as written. Because it is the organization’s personnel record, that scrub is the organization’s decision to perform, on request or under its own policy.
- Operational data— jobs, dispatch history, assignments, pilotage tickets, and billing records. These are the organization’s business records and are retained under our agreement with that organization.
If you want organization-owned records changed or removed, that request has to come from the organization itself. Contact your administrator, who can raise it with us under their agreement.
How long retained data is kept
Retained records are kept for as long as your organization’s NeriOS workspace remains active, and after that in accordance with our agreement with that organization and applicable law. If you have a question about a specific record, write to us at support@nerios.io and we will respond.
