Privacy Policy

NeriOS is an operations platform for maritime pilot organizations, operated by Fairlead Technologies, LLC(“we”, “us”). This policy explains what data the NeriOS mobile and web apps collect, how we use it, and your choices. NeriOS is a business tool provided to pilot organizations and their personnel; it is not directed at the general public.

Information we collect

• Account information — your name, email, role, and organization, used to sign you in and provide the service.
• Operational data you enter — jobs, assignments, vessels, schedules, tickets, notes, and similar records. This data belongs to your organization and is visible to authorized members of your organization.
• Device push token — if you enable notifications, we store your device’s push token to deliver alerts you opt into. You can turn this off in your device settings.
• Photos you choose to attach — if you add a photo (from your camera or photo library) to a feedback or bug report, we store that image with your report. The app only accesses your camera or photos when you tap to attach one.
• Diagnostic & usage data — crash and error reports used to keep the app reliable.

We do notcollect your device’s GPS location. Fields such as vehicle or car location are text you choose to enter, not sensed by the app. If you enable Face ID or Touch ID to unlock NeriOS, that check happens entirely on your device and we never receive your biometric data. We do not use advertising identifiers or third-party ad or tracking SDKs.

How we use your information

• To operate, maintain, and provide NeriOS to your organization.
• To authenticate you and protect account security.
• To deliver in-app and push notifications you have enabled.
• To provide support and to improve reliability.
• To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising or cross-app tracking.

How information is shared

• Within your organization — NeriOS is multi-tenant; authorized members and administrators of your organization can access your organization’s operational data. Each organization’s data is isolated from every other organization.
• Service providers — vendors who process data on our behalf under contract, including hosting and database (Supabase), transactional email (Resend), push delivery (Expo / Apple APNs / Google FCM), and diagnostics (Sentry). They may use the data only to provide their service to us.
• Legal — when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.

Data security

Data is encrypted in transit (TLS). Each organization’s data is isolated using database row-level security and role-based access controls. Access is limited to what your role requires.

Data retention

We retain your information while your account and organization are active, and as needed to provide the service and meet legal or operational requirements. We delete or anonymize data in accordance with your organization’s retention policy or on a valid request.

Your choices

• Access and update your profile within the app.
• Control notification behavior in your in-app Notification Preferences and your device settings.
• Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting your organization’s administrator or us at the email below.

Children

NeriOS is a workplace tool and is not directed to children.

International

Data is processed and stored in the United States.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above when we do.
